New Cherry Tree on The Butts
A replacement for a tree blown down in a recent storm has been planted on The Butts. Thanks to Shelford Tree Services for helping us plant the new tree without charge.

Angela, our parish clerk, and Jonno from Shelford Tree Services recently planted a Cherry Tree on The Butts next to the site of where a tree was blown over in a storm at the end of last year.
Botanically called a “Prunus Avium Plena (double gean)” this new tree will produce white flowers in spring time and the leaves will turn ruby red in the autumn.
The tree was provided to the parish council through the “6 free trees project” run by the Zero Carbon team at South Cambs District Council in partnership with English Woodlands.
