The Parish Council has been granted change of use permission for The Old Chapel. The permissions now allow the Parish Council to move forward with purchasing the The Old Chapel, retain its use for the community long term and secure the future of the beloved Fowlmere Playgroup.

As part of national Government’s Local Government Reorganisation plans to disband existing district, city and county councils to create new ‘unitary’ councils from April 2028. Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire residents can now comment on the proposals for a new unitary council.
