This weekend, the Cemetery extension will be cut using Scythes. The work is being carried out using traditional hand-cutting methods to help manage the grass and maintain the area in a way that is sympathetic to the cemetery environment.

Please be advised that the cemetery extension will be cut using scythes this weekend.

The work is being carried out using traditional hand-cutting methods to help manage the grass and maintain the area in a way that is sympathetic to the cemetery environment.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

  • Keep a safe distance from anyone using a scythe.
  • Do not enter an area where cutting is actively taking place.
  • Wait until cutting has finished before approaching or walking through the area.
  • Keep children and dogs under close control and away from the working area.
  • Take care as cut grass and uneven ground may make the surface slippery or difficult to walk on.
  • Please follow any temporary signs or instructions given by those carrying out the work.
