Change of Use Planning Permission for The Old Chapel submitted.

The Parish Council has submitted a change of use application as part of its Old Chapel project. We are seeking to add Class F2 (community use) to the existing Class F1 (place of worship) to allow us the flexibility we need to make the project viable.

This will be shortly followed by a Listed Building Consent application to remove the pews on the ground floor and the lower altar to open up the useable floor space. Once (hopefully) both of these permissions have been granted we will be able to move the project forward.

All of the informal feedback from SCDC Planning department has been positive as our plans comply with their policies so we hope that these steps should be fairly routine 🤞
