The Parish Council is delighted to have been able to join in the Covid Reflection and Remembrance tree planting initiative by planting this Wild Cherry tree (prunus avium) on the green space between Champions Close and Savile Way.

As part of a county wide scheme the trees are being provided with plaques that honour the volunteers who gave their time and care to support those in need and remember all who were impacted and those who lost their lives.

The tree and plaque were supplied by SCDC and our thanks go to Hedgehog Bob who gave the Clerk a helping hand in planting the tree out.

Each spring their blossoms will stand as symbols of resilience, kindness and hope for generations to come.
