Listed Building Consent has been granted for the removal of the pews and the lower part of the staging in the Old Chapel. This is a crucial step forward in ensuring the viability of the Parish Council’s plans to purchase the Old Chapel. This is particularly good news for the Playgroup whose uncertain future this project will secure as anchor tenant alongside other varied and diverse community uses.
The next step is the change of use planning consent which we hope will be determined by SCDC soon. This will add planning use F2 to the existing F1 use.
