Metal WI Bench off for refurbishment
The much loved green metal WI bench at the top of The Butts has been temporarily removed for refurbishment. Installed in 1965 to mark the 50th anniversary of the WI, the 60 year old bench has been showing its age. It will be straightened and strengthened before a repaint to bring it back to life.

The much loved green metal WI bench at the top of The Butts has been temporarily removed for refurbishment.
Installed in 1965 to mark the 50th anniversary of the WI, the 60 year old bench has been showing its age. It will be straightened and strengthened before a repaint to bring it back to life. It will be away for a few weeks while the work takes place and we are looking forward to the results.
