The Parish Council has submitted a change of use planning application as part of its Old Chapel project. We are seeking to add Class F2 (community use) to the existing Class F1 (place of worship) to allow us the flexibility we need to make the project viable.

The Parish Clerk had a call from our local PCSO this afternoon to make us aware of a rise in Hare Coursing recently and how to report it. If you see Hare Coursing actively taking place please phone 999 to report it. It is illegal, causes criminal damage to crops and risks farmers' livelihoods
It might not quite be Spring yet but the snow drops are out and the daffodils are poking through. So in the spirit of Springtime 11 benches around the village have had a good clean. Some will now need an oil or varnish but the improvement is already satisfying.
After a police chase incident last year which saw a car drive through the pathway between Ryecroft Lane and Dovehouse Close, SCDC have installed some additional bollards to prevent this dangerous occurrence from being able to happen again. When the weather warms up we shall sow some grass seed.
Our well used Skate and Scooter Park received some TLC recently to bring it back to tip top condition. This much loved addition to village facilities was installed in 2021 and needed a little love to keep it top notch. 🛹
