Following the request by 11 electors (residents) for the recent vacancy there will be a by-election for the vacant Parish Council seat. SCDC have set the date of Thursday 13th August for the poll.
Following a request by 11 “Electors” (residents) to SCDC in line with section 87(2) of the 1972 Local Government Act, there will be a by-election for the vacant seat. Further details will follow when the Parish Council receives more information from SCDC.
Due to a recent new job offer that is politically restricted it is unfortunate that Will Nichols has had to resign from Fowlmere Parish Council. Consequently there is now a vacancy which is fully explained in the formal legal notice document in this article.
The result of the Fowlmere Parish Council Election was published this afternoon by South Cambridgeshire District Council. Thank you to all 601 residents who turned out to vote and the 10 candidates for standing.
The Election for Parish Councillors in Fowlmere will be contested on May 7th 2026 alongside the District Council Elections. 10 Candidates are standing for the 9 Parish Council seats and residents will have the opportunity to choose who they would like to represent them on the Parish Council.
